Name: Innes National Park Stenhouse Bay Campground

Address/Town:  Stenhouse Bay Road

7 km W of Marion Bay.  About 4 km from the entrance to the Innes National Park

Price:  At the time of our stay - SA National Park entry fee of $8.50 + a camping fee of $6 per vehicle (ie $14.50) or purchase a SA National Parks Pass with a camping option attached (currently a 2 month pass with the camping option costs $58 which allow camping up to 4 nights at any one campground. Sites: Open area with about 26 individual sites on grass/sandy surface between wooden bollards. Very little shade.

Amenities: 2 x unisex drop toilet. .Be self sufficient and take your rubbish out with you.

Generators are permitted only in this campground.  They must be used in a clear area and turned off by 10 pm.  Generators are not permitted on total fire ban days.

Pet Friendly: No

Mobile Phone Reception: Yes

Restrictions: No fires November to April inclusive.  Outside of this time, no collecting firewood but you are permitted to bring your own wood or gas appliances.  Wood may be purchase from the Innes Trading Post   Refer to the national park website for full details.


Stenhouse Bay Campground is located behind the sand dunes and close to the beach.  A full list of other tent camping sites is available on the NP website. 

The Innes Trading Post general store and fuel is about 300 metres from the entrance to the campground and Rhinos tavern is open 10 am until late 7 days a week.  Drinking water can be purchased from the Innes Trading Post.

Stenhouse Bay Lookout Walk - 2 klm loop 1 hr return  The walk leads you around cliff tops with spectacular ocean views and through low coastal heath.  Lookouts provide an insight into the area's natural and cultural heritage.
